He specializes in large format landscapes, travel destinations and editorial assignments. His work has been published in magazines, calendars, national advertising campaigns and much more. He manages his own stock photo library in addition to image representation with leading stock agencies. Ryan's fine prints are sold to private collectors and represented in galleries across the United States. Ryan has completed a wide range of photography work since completing his degree from Brooks Institute of Photography. The initial stages of his career were spent assisting established photographers to gain experience and improve his photographic craft. This included working in areas such as publishing, stock, and commercial assignments. Ryan began building a client base of his own and eventually opened his own business in downtown San Francisco. Ryan has been teaching photography workshops for several years. In 2001, he began teaching photography classes at the Academy of Art University where he is currently a faculty member and director of digital photography. |
