I was born and raised in the city of Poughkeepsie, New York. From a very early age, I’d shown a strong interest in drawing and painting. I pursued these interests throughout my schooling and eventually graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. I moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida when I was 22 years of age and taught elementary school art for three years before leaving the profession to travel in Eurpe. When I returned to the states, I pushed westward and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and the notion of small town living. I’ve lived in Crested Butte, Colorado for the past 16 years. My wife, Kathy, and I have two sons who keep us both busy and continuously add to the richness of our lives.
