Membership

Artists of the West Elks offers FREE Membership!

Membership is open to anybody interested in the success of visual arts in the West Elk region. Membership (FREE) in AWE is required for participation in any AWE event. Our programs include: AWEfests, CB Artwalks, the inAWE Gallery, periodic member shows, an artist directory and other worthwhile ideas that support our mission. Participation in AWE events and marketing efforts is optional and each event will be paid for by those participating AWE artists or businesses.

With the FREE membership, AWE members receive (and may contribute to) our informational email newsletter highlighting opportunities and happenings in the local art scene. Also, AWE artist members receive a free listing on the website AWEARTS.org and the right to participate in any AWE art events or shows. Enhanced marketing and listing opportunities will be available for a nominal fee.

Directory

  • AWE’s region-wide Directory features artists and their media from all over the West Elks area, including contact information; available at www.awearts.org
  • Click here to be included in the AWE Directory (Please include your name, artistic medium, email, phone number and website URL)

Art Walks

  • The Crested Butte area features ArtWalk evenings every third Thursday during the summer & winter
  • The Gunnison area features Art Crawl evening every first Friday

AWEfests

  • During the summer, AWE collaborates with the CB Farmer’s Market, providing an opportunity to sell your art

Members’ Exhibitions

  • Once or twice a year, Artists of the West Elks invites its members to participate in an exhibition in Gunnison or Crested Butte

Special Events

  • Occasionally, AWE invites all members to gather at member potlucks, fundraisers, and special events
