| Artists of the West Elks (AWE) aspires
to unify, enrich and educate novice, emerging and professional artists and art lovers by encouraging and
challenging them to develop to their full potential. AWE nurtures artists in an atmosphere of mutual
respect and provides opportunities to network, exhibit work and share knowledge. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Artists of the West Elks was recognized by the Gunnison Arts Center for its contribution to artists of Gunnison County and presented with this "Hat's Off" award of a hand made hat by Erin Vokoun's high school art class. The hat features spring flowers, signifying a new and growing organization, and a horse shoe wishing AWE good luck in its endeavors.
